XNA GAME
MAKING
Thanks for stopping by. This is site to support the book (soon to
be updated), A Simple Introduction to Game Programming with C# and XNA 4.0: No
Previous Programming Experience Required, written by me, Curtis
Bennett.
ABOUT
In the fall of 2008 I began teaching a game class at a local
community college. The class was aimed at people with little or no experience
making games or programming and went over the basics of game design and game
programming using XNA. Over the course of two semesters I ended up making quite
a few notes for the class, and I've put them in a book:
A Simple Introduction to Game Programming With C# and XNA 4.0:
No Previous Programming Experience Required
XNA 4.0
The XNA 4.0 version is pretty much the same as the previous ones.
Special thanks to Lynda Hausman of Humber College for proofreading this version.
ERRORS / ERRATA
Thanks to the people who have emailed me about various errors and
typos in the book. As I’ve stated before, it hasn’t been professionally
reviewed and still probably contains many errors. Feel free to contact me at curtis@xnagamemaking.com with
them and I’ll try to correct them in an updated version.
SUPPORT
Sometimes I get specific questions about coding or XNA. Sorry, but
at this time my schedule doesn’t allow me to provide this kind of support
directly. The best place to get this kind of help is from the XNA forums. I do
try to support students who are using the book as part of school work; if you
send me a question and include some info on the course you’re taking I’ll try
to reply.
FEEDBACK
If you have comments or suggestions for the book feel free to
